23rd May 2011 Windsurfing: Spray Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Took the day off to enjoy the sun and wind with PaulP. Arrived at Spray to find decent, but flat 5.0 weather. Great fun all day, but the best was in the morning. The wind went a bit wierd at lunchtime with the odd hole and a battle of directions between SSW and W. Then at about 3pm, just as a bunch of afterworkers turned up, the wind ramped up to what must have been 4m weather and that coincided with a tide state that turned the sea into corrugated iron, so I hung in there for another 45 minutes or so before deciding that I'd had a good day and there was no point enduring what I was out in! The stitching on my harness finally gave up the ghost too, so if anyone knows of any good deals on harnesses... |
